Flash Video: 1982 Jeep CJ-7 Built for Ultimate Street & Trail Use!

1982 CJ-7 built for performance!

September 10, 2010, I spent the day chasing Ultra4 race vehicles around the Grand Sierra Resort at Reno and the Exit 28 Motorsports Park. One of the best surprises of the day stood in the parking lot at the hotel: an awesomely built 1982 CJ-7 trail runner, patterned in many ways like the Ultra4 race rigs. The major difference: Despite its 500-plus horsepower Corvette LS-1 V-8, this vehicle has all of the safety equipment and necessary emission controls to remain street legal in California.

Here is the video I shot in the parking lot at the Grand Sierra Resort, just yards from the tech inspection line for the Ultra4 racers. Enjoy the video and visit the “Jeep Feature Vehicles” section to learn more about this great CJ-7 trail rig!
