Bestop® Supertop NX How-to: Jeep® YJ Wrangler Installation!
The Bestop® Supertop NX is the latest soft top for Jeep® utility 4x4s. Coverage goes back to the Jeep® YJ Wrangler era. In this step-by-step, how-to HD video, we install a Bestop® Supertop NX and new Bestop® upper cloth half-doors on a Jeep® YJ Wrangler model. 
Bestop® furnishes step-by-step instructions (project begins at left). At right, rivets get substituted for screws on this YJ Wrangler retrofit, as the vehicle had an earlier top with oversized screws and screw holes. For the typical installation, Bestop® furnishes all needed hardware for the framework. 
At left, Kevin Morero uses a body dolly and hammer to flatten old screw holes for the new Bestop® hardware. Many older Jeep® Wranglers are on their second or third soft top. Bestop® makes the Supertop NX as a replacement top for the YJ Wranglers and as an upgrade for the TJs and JKs. 
The top was laid on warm asphalt and heated by sunlight to make it pliable during the installation. A cold top will not stretch as easily. The Bestop® fit is intentionally snug to prevent flapping and rattles. Bestop® meets the highest industry standards for soft tops. 
Rear side windows zip into place as does the rear door window. This is a high grade top and excellent fit. Bestop® has long been an OE supplier to Jeep®. This level of quality reflects in every area of the Supertop NX! 
Front upper doors also come from Bestop®. These are actually OE replacement style for the YJ Wrangler. The Supertop NX ships without upper front doors. These two matching material uppers are purchased separately from the top.
